Climate change is now widely recognized as one of the most critical global challenges of our time.
Its impacts are felt across every country and region, transcending borders and affecting ecosystems, economies, and communities worldwide. While the degree of responsibility may vary, every individual contributes to climate change—often through the consumption of goods and services that rely heavily on energy and natural resources, particularly fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas.
The production and consumption of fossil fuels are major sources of greenhouse gas emissions, increasing atmospheric concentrations and contributing to the rising global temperatures. Other human activities, such as cement and metal production, agriculture, and land use practices like deforestation, also add significantly to greenhouse gas emissions—collectively forming the human carbon footprint on Earth.
Addressing climate change requires not only awareness but also the knowledge and tools necessary to reduce our environmental impact. Instilling these values and habits from an early age is essential to fostering a generation that understands the importance of environmental stewardship and the sustainable use of natural resources. Education plays a critical role in empowering individuals to take meaningful action for a more sustainable future.
