This report synthesizes the critical discussions and outcomes of the three-day Annual Gender Equality Forum, held during 17–19 June 2025 in Juba. Central to the deliberations were the essential role of women in achieving sustainable peace and security; the urgent imperative to combat sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and the impunity of perpetrators; and the non-negotiable need to enhance women’s political participation across all levels of decision-making. Discussions also focused on strengthening coordination, building capacity and improving reporting mechanisms across all tiers of governance to ensure that policy aspirations translate into tangible realities.
