The 2023 Tracer Study and Employer Perception Survey Report, under the Youth Empowerment and Employment Project (YEEP), provides a detailed assessment of how vocational, technical, and entrepreneurial training is shaping youth employment in South Sudan. Drawing on insights from over 1,000 graduates and 140 employers, the report presents employment outcomes, self-employment trends, internship experiences, and the satisfaction levels of both graduates and employers.

Findings indicate that 60% of graduates are employed, with many pursuing self-employment and small business ownership, which has a notable impact on household income and local economic advancement. The report also highlights areas for improvement, including strengthening practical training, enhancing technical competence, and equipping youth with critical soft skills such as problem-solving and decision-making.
