Under the initiative, UNDP provided 30 laptops to the Committee for Finance and Planning and the Parliamentary Research Centre, 22 laptops to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, and 20 laptops to the Bank of South Sudan.

The support is aimed at enhancing the ability of key national institutions to generate, analyze, manage, and utilize data and information to inform policymaking, economic planning, research, and oversight functions.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Dr. Ligane Sene – UNDP’s Senior Economic Advisor, UNDP South Sudan and Eretria emphasized the importance of strong institutions in advancing sustainable development.

Today’s handover reflects our shared commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and improving economic governance in South Sudan.
