Brief description of Project
The UNDP x Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Challenge in Samoa is an innovation and youth empowerment initiative designed to equip young people with the skills, tools, and platforms to develop technology-driven solutions to local development challenges. The initiative engages students and young innovators through a structured challenge model that includes capacity-building workshops, mentorship, ideation, and prototype development, culminating in a competitive selection process. Participants are supported to design solutions addressing key issues such as climate change, environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and community resilience. The programme contributes to strengthening Samoa’s innovation ecosystem, fostering youth leadership, and promoting inclusive participation in digital transformation.
