Impact on Samoa
Samoa’s participation will help update its national biodiversity strategy and prepare its 7th National Report in line with the Global Biodiversity Framework. The project will strengthen Samoa’s biodiversity planning, improve monitoring and reporting, and support inclusive engagement with government, communities, women, youth, civil society, and the private sector.
Expected benefits include stronger ecosystem protection, improved climate and community resilience, better access to technical support, and more gender-responsive biodiversity governance. It will also help Samoa track progress toward global biodiversity targets while aligning action with national priorities.
