Our Partners

These partnerships reflect how UNDP Rome Centre works in practice, connecting academic institutions, public bodies, foundations, media, and private sector actors to advance climate and energy action.

Our collaborations are shaped around shared objectives, whether generating policy-relevant knowledge, building skills and capacity, mobilizing finance, strengthening risk resilience, or engaging the public.

LUISS University

The partnership between UNDP Rome Centre and LUISS University focuses on strengthening the link between academic excellence and real-world development practice. Through structured collaboration on research, teaching, and capacity building, the partnership supports the next generation of leaders in international cooperation, sustainability, and public policy.

Joint initiatives include fellowships, academic exchanges, teaching contributions by UNDP experts, and applied research activities. By embedding UNDP’s operational perspective into academic programmes, the collaboration helps translate global development challenges into practical learning and policy-relevant insights, while reinforcing dialogue between academia, institutions, and the private sector.

Sciences Po

UNDP Rome Centre collaborates with the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) — Sciences Po to promote policy dialogue and student engagement in global development. The partnership builds on an established Memorandum of Understanding and supports initiatives at the intersection of climate, energy, sustainable finance, and multilateral governance.

Through academic engagement, events, and student participation, this collaboration aims to offer aspiring development practitioners opportunities to develop professional skills and engage with senior UNDP officers. It also provides a platform for dialogue on sustainable development priorities, in line with the international agenda, contributing to evidence-based policy discussions and global cooperation.

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti

UNDP Rome Centre works with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Italy’s national development finance institution, to advance cooperation on sustainable development and climate finance. The partnership supports alignment between development policy, public finance, and investment, reinforcing Italy’s role in international cooperation.

Through this collaboration, UNDP and CDP facilitate dialogue with institutions and partners, support project development, and strengthen coordination on initiatives related to climate, energy, and sustainable infrastructure. The partnership plays a key role in linking policy priorities with financial instruments and implementation capacity.

RAI

The partnership with RAI, Italy’s national public broadcaster, focuses on public engagement and awareness on climate action, energy transition, and sustainable development. Through collaboration on editorial and knowledge-based initiatives, Rome Centre contributes expertise and global perspectives to inform public debate.

By working with RAI as a knowledge partner, UNDP Rome Centre helps translate complex global challenges into accessible narratives for a broad audience. The partnership supports storytelling that highlights solutions, innovation, and collective action, reinforcing the role of public information in advancing sustainability.
