Our Partners

These partnerships reflect the way in which the UNDP Rome Centre operates in practice, connecting academic institutions, public bodies, foundations, media organizations and private sector actors to promote climate and energy action.

Our collaborations are based on shared objectives, including the production of policy-relevant knowledge, skills and capacity development, the mobilization of financial resources, the strengthening of resilience to risks, and public engagement.

LUISS Guido Carli University

The partnership between UNDP Rome Centre and LUISS Guido Carli University focuses on strengthening the link between academic excellence and the practical implementation of development work. Through structured collaboration in research, teaching and capacity development, the partnership supports the next generation of leaders in international cooperation, sustainability and public policy.

Joint initiatives include scholarships, academic exchanges, teaching contributions from UNDP experts and applied research activities. By integrating UNDP’s operational perspective into academic programmes, the collaboration helps translate global development challenges into practical learning and policy-relevant knowledge, while also strengthening dialogue between academia, institutions and the private sector.

Sciences Po

The UNDP Rome Centre collaborates with the Paris School of International Affairs, PSIA, Sciences Po, to promote policy dialogue and student engagement in global development. The partnership builds on an already established Memorandum of Understanding and supports initiatives at the intersection of climate, energy, sustainable finance and multilateral governance.

Through academic activities, events and student participation, this collaboration aims to provide aspiring development professionals with opportunities to develop professional skills and engage with senior UNDP officials. It also provides a platform for dialogue on sustainable development priorities, in line with the international agenda, contributing to evidence-based policy discussions and global cooperation.

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti

UNDP Rome Centre collaborates with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Italy’s national development finance institution, to promote cooperation on sustainable development and climate finance. The partnership supports alignment between development policy, public finance and investment, strengthening Italy’s role in international cooperation.

Through this collaboration, UNDP and CDP facilitate dialogue with institutions and partners, support project development and strengthen coordination on initiatives related to climate, energy and sustainable infrastructure. The partnership plays a key role in connecting policy priorities with financial instruments and implementation capacity.

RAI

The partnership with RAI, Italy’s national public broadcasting service, focuses on public engagement and awareness-raising on climate action, the energy transition and sustainable development. Through collaboration on editorial and knowledge-based initiatives, the Rome Centre contributes expertise and global perspectives to inform public debate.

By working with RAI as a knowledge partner, UNDP Rome Centre helps translate complex global challenges into narratives that are accessible to a broad audience. The partnership supports storytelling that highlights solutions, innovation and collective action, strengthening the role of public information in promoting sustainability.
