On the occasion of the 47th edition of the Rimini Meeting, the UNDP Rome Centre will be present in Piazza MASE (Booth A5C5).

Our participation in the Meeting represents an important opportunity for engagement, dialogue, and exchange with institutions, the research community, businesses, and the philanthropic sector. At our exhibition space, we will highlight the concrete results achieved through our key programs – including PISTA, Energy for Growth, and Youth4Climate – and underscore the fundamental value of partnerships with the private sector and governments in promoting sustainable development globally.

Screening of the documentary “Generation Trust”

When: August 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Where: Spazio eventi – Piazza MASE

Produced by UNDP and MASE, with the support of 8X1000 funds from the Soka Gakkai Buddhist Institute, the documentary presents five inspiring stories of young innovators from Pakistan, Liberia, Uganda, Colombia, and Bolivia, supported by the global Youth4Climate initiative. A powerful narrative demonstrating how offering trust and tangible resources to the younger generation translates into effective climate solutions.

Roundtable: “UNDP e il Sistema Italia: dalla Ricerca all’Impresa”

He will speak at the panel titled ““Umanizzare l’energia: il valore pubblico e sociale delle Comunità Energetiche Rinnovabili”, guiding the reflection through the lens of global climate justice and the role of international cooperation in strengthening local expertise and ensuring access to energy as an essential condition for human development.

He will participate alongside the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, in the panel “Il ruolo del Mediterraneo nel contesto energetico globale”, dedicated to strategic energy and ecological dynamics in the Mediterranean region.

He will take part in the conference “Le aziende pubbliche dell’energia a servizio del cittadino”, a meeting with top executives from public energy companies to assess their contribution to community engagement and public service, featuring closing remarks by the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.
