Human rights-based digital transformation

UNDP puts human rights at the heart of our work on digital transformation.

Digital Public Goods enable knowledge and data sharing and reduce duplication in the development system and beyond.

UNDP India

UNDP Digital Strategy (2022-25) places human rights are at the centre of UNDP's work to support digital transformation. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to understand the real impact of the increasing use of digital technologies and new and emerging technologies on the realisation of human rights, namely human rights in the digital realm, including the right to privacy, data protection, freedom of expression, freedom of association, access and equality and non-discrimination.
