The year 2025 marked the 50th independence anniversary of Papua New Guinea and a landmark year for UNDP's programming int he country. Across the country, our work continued to be guided by four interconnected priorities: Equality for Women and Girls; Peace, Governance and Social Cohesion; Sustainable Economic Transformation; and Environment and Climate Change.

This approach translated into meaningful progress across the country. This Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of those achievements, as well as a compelling look into the daily lives of Papua New Guineans through powerful human interest stories.
