PNG Biodiversity and Climate Fund launches its sixth call for proposals

The fund will be providing grants to initiatives focusing on nature and ecosystem-based solutions across Papua New Guinea

With the generous support of the Government of New Zealand, The PNG Biodiversity and Climate Fund has launched its sixth call for proposals from organizations involved in conservation and climate mitigation and adaptation in Papua New Guinea. The fund is currently accepting expressions of interest from applicants seeking to implement climate and conservation initiatives in the country. The maximum amount for the grants on offer is 100,000 USD. 

The Papua New Guinea Biodiversity and Climate Fund under the leadership of the Conservation and Environment Protection Authority of the Government of Papua New Guinea and UNDP in 2022. The fund seeks to catalyze financial and technical resources to restore, protect, and enhance the country’s biodiversity and build resilience in the face of climate change.

Those interested in applying for the grants should carefully read this call for proposal to ensure their organisations is eligible for funding. The applicants should carefully follow the submission instructions outlined in the call for proposal. The applicants should use this template for the expression of interest and send them to admin@pngbcf.org. The deadline for submitting the expressions of interest is on 7 May 2025.
