The World Energy Forum opens in North Macedonia, 28–30 October

The 14th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (14-IFESD) will be held from 28–30 October 2025 in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.
This event is organized by the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources of North Macedonia, UNDP North Macedonia, and the five United Nations Regional Commissions: UNECE, UNESCAP, UNECLAC, UNECA, and UNESCWA.
This year’s theme, “From Goals to Action: Powering the Future with Sustainable Energy,” will bring together around 400 participants, including government officials, policymakers, energy experts, business leaders, academics, and civil society representatives. Key topics will include energy connectivity, energy security, a just energy transition, and international energy cooperation.
The Forum will serve as a dynamic platform for shaping actionable strategies to accelerate progress toward global sustainable energy goals, an objective to which UNDP North Macedonia is fully committed.
