The public call was announced as part of the project "Advancing Environmental Justice in North Macedonia" provided by the UNDP Global Programme on Strengthening the Rule of Law, Human Rights, Justice and Security for Sustainable Peace and Development.

Twenty-six project proposals were received in the public call, submitted by twenty-five civil society organizations, one of which has been approved for funding, and one is conditionally approved for funding.
