For twenty-three years, the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Inclusive Value Chains Programme has been promoting innovative methodologies to support the strengthening of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with the aim of fostering their integration into inclusive value chains, as well as enhancing their resilience, productivity and competitiveness. The Programme’s track record demonstrates that its interventions generate measurable short-term results–such as increased sales, improved product quality and strengthened business management–and lay the foundations for structural transformation by prioritizing key sectors for economic development and the transformation of value chains in the medium and long term.
