SEED4YOUTH: Success Stories

May 21, 2026

Skills, Employment, and Empowerment for the Development of Youth in South Sudan (SEED4Youth) is a transformative initiative funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented in partnership with UNDP and the Ministry of Labour. The program provides vulnerable youth and women aged 18–35 with free vocational training, entrepreneurship skills, and startup kits to promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods. Covering a wide range of trades, including tailoring, catering, agriculture, mechanics, and livestock management, the initiative addresses unemployment while strengthening local economic participation.

This publication presents a collection of success stories from SEED4Youth beneficiaries, offering powerful insights into the program’s real-life impact. Through personal journeys of resilience and determination, the stories demonstrate how access to skills training, mentorship, and financial support has enabled participants to start businesses, secure employment, and improve their quality of life. Beneficiaries have not only enhanced their own livelihoods but have also created job opportunities and supported their families and communities, fostering inclusive growth, reducing poverty, and building long-term resilience in South Sudan.
