The Statistical Training Needs Assessment (STAT) Report presents the first organization-wide review of skills, learning gaps, and training priorities within the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), drawing on inputs from officials across headquarters and field offices. It highlights a capable and motivated workforce while identifying key needs in modern statistical methods, digital tools, and data communication, and outlines a strategic roadmap for capacity development, including a proposed BBS Training Academy. The assessment was conducted under the UNDP SIPS project, in partnership with BBS and supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh.
