Republic of Moldova launches the Export Platform – a digital tool to boost exports
October 17, 2025
The Invest Moldova Agency, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has launched the Export Platform – a digital tool designed to help local companies access foreign markets and strengthen their export capacities.
Available at www.invest.gov.md/export, the platform brings together in one online space all the essential resources and information for promoting and developing national exports.
The platform was developed by the Invest Moldova Agency with technical and financial assistance from Sweden, the United Kingdom, and UNDP, within the project “Advanced Cross-River Capacities for Trade” (AdTrade).
It provides companies with up-to-date information on international events, trade missions, export support programmes, grants for business associations, and relevant market studies, all presented in a user-friendly and accessible format.
“The Export Platform is designed for Moldovan exporting companies, offering transparent access to projects, studies, grants, databases, and information about public and private entities that can support them or become their partners. This centralized tool aims to strengthen the capacity of export operators and contribute to building a more connected and competitive economy,” said Natalia Bejan, Director of the Invest Moldova Agency.
The launch of the Export Platform is part of a broader strategy by the Invest Moldova Agency to support the digital transformation of the business environment and to enhance Moldova’s visibility as an attractive destination for investment and international trade.
Among the complementary tools developed by the Invest Moldova Agency, in partnership with UNDP and the European Union, is the Interactive Investment Map, available in both Romanian and English, which provides detailed information on each region’s socio-economic potential, investment opportunities, available human resources, and sectoral profiles.
The library of investment profiles and projects is continuously updated and already includes 41 profiles focused on the circular economy, green technologies, and responsible consumption, developed for the Cahul and Ungheni regions.
With support from the Government of Switzerland and UNDP, the Invest Moldova Agency is also developing investment profiles for six key industries: IT and creative industries, business process outsourcing, medical and social services, tourism and hospitality, agriculture and agri-processing, and industrial real estate.
All these analytical tools contribute to promoting priority economic sectors, unlocking regional potential and enhancing Moldova’s visibility as a competitive and reliable investment destination.
Previously, UNDP provided technical assistance for the preparation of investment proposals aimed at partners in the Middle East, identifying sectors with high competitive potential and areas of interest for regional investors. The data analysis methodology developed through this process can also be used by the Invest Moldova Agency to prepare future investment proposals targeting markets in Southeast Asia and Latin America.
