From 8 to 10 September 2025, the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2) will take place at the Addis International Convention Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the theme: 

“Accelerating Global Climate Solutions: Financing Africa’s Resilient and Green Development.” 

The Summit provides a critical platform for African leaders, institutions, development partners and the private sector to advance climate solutions aligned with the Paris Agreement while addressing Africa’s realities. 

As a leading partner, UNDP will highlight its role in turning commitments into inclusive and scalable action—showcasing Africa’s voice on climate, practical solutions from its programmes, and the urgent need for targeted climate finance. 

At ACS2 and Climate Week (CW2), UNDP will: 

• Champion Africa’s scalable solutions, from nature-based approaches to technological innovations
• Drive adaptation and resilience through inclusive African leadership and community-driven action
• Accelerate and align climate finance with Africa’s green development priorities
• Highlight youth, women and indigenous leadership in shaping climate futures
• Reaffirm UNDP as a trusted partner in Africa’s climate journey
