In Kamarkhand, Sirajganj, Md. Mahmudul Hasan Sabbir has made it his mission to bridge the gap between education and employment. As an entrepreneur at the Roydoultpur Union Digital Center, Sabbir realized that many rural youth—despite having academic qualifications—struggled to find work due to a lack of practical skills.

His solution was the "Skill and Employment Assistance Center", a transformative initiative that prepares young people for the job market with hands-on training. With support from the a2i Project and later accreditation from the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, the center now offers certified training in digital services, technology, and communication skills, alongside real-world work experience.

Trainees are actively engaged in providing citizen services at the Digital Center, gaining practical knowledge while serving their communities. Sabbir also launched a Language Training Center, offering English and Japanese classes, and introduced basic training on advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

The center’s inclusive approach includes special batches for marginalized and disadvantaged women. Through personalized career counseling, motivational sessions, and entrepreneurial mentoring, many trainees have gone on to launch their own online service centers and small businesses.

Skills bring confidence, and with confidence, we can find our own path,” says Sabbir. “I want our youth to stand on their own feet, build their own future, and create a respectable position in their own community.”

His initiative has transformed lives. Participants now secure jobs locally and nationally, while many women have become active contributors to their households and communities. More than just training, the center has ignited a mindset shift: skills are not just tools—they are the foundation of empowerment.
