Miodrag Dragisic, UNDP Türkiye Deputy Resident Representative
Miodrag brings over 20 years of experience across development, humanitarian assistance, and the private sector, with a strong track record in programme implementation, partnership development, and resource mobilization in complex and evolving contexts.
Prior to his current role, Miodrag served with UNDP Montenegro, where he advanced to Assistant Resident Representative, a position he held for eight years. In this capacity, he led the implementation of programmes, expanded strategic partnerships, and secured funding to support social and economic development, including post-conflict interventions advancing reconciliation, social cohesion, and trust-building, as well as durable solutions for refugees and displaced populations. As Team Leader of the Social Inclusion portfolio, he oversaw initiatives in social policy, employment, and gender equality. He contributed to key reports and policy processes related to the Millennium Development Goals, Sustainable Development Goals, poverty reduction, social protection, human development, and the EU accession agenda. He undertook several expert assignments with the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS, the UNDP Brussels Representative Office, and the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub.
Prior to joining UNDP, Miodrag worked in the telecommunications sector as Financial Controller at Telenor Montenegro, where he conducted financial and operational analyses, budgets and business plans, and reported on performance and market forecasts.
He also worked in the humanitarian field as Senior Project Coordinator with the Danish Refugee Council, managing post-conflict programmes in Montenegro and supporting the integration of refugees and displaced populations, while strengthening NGO capacities through training, financial support, and institutional development.
Miodrag holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the University of Montenegro, and two master’s degrees: one in International Cooperation and Development from Sapienza University of Rome and one in Environmental Protection from the University of Montenegro. He is fluent in Montenegrin and English and proficient in several South Slavic languages.
