UNDP Rwanda is looking to recruit a National Individual Landscape and GIS Specialist to Support the Preparation of the Full Project Document for a GEF-7 Project ‘Ecosystems/Landscape Approach to Climate Proof the Rural Settlement Program of Rwanda’. The National Landscape and GIS Specialist will analyse the levels of degradation of natural resources that provide natural infrastructure for adaptation for the 4 project sites. S/he will recommend short and long-term practical measures to be implemented by the project to enhance the effectiveness of the landscape approach to climate proofing settlements and livelihoods of the beneficiaries – by reducing exposure to climate risks related to degradation of the natural systems/features). S/he will work under the direct guidance of the Team Leader.
