Adeshina’s enterpreneurial journey began at an early age of 7 inspired by his mother. His mother was a wholesaler who rose the ranks with Fan Milk, becoming one of the top 5 distributors across the South South and South East region of Nigeria. In the middle of 2003, Adeshina’s dad lost his job and this seamily small business became the major source of income for the family. Yet, like many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), she struggled to access the financing needed to grow. That experience lit a spark in Adeshina to tackle the financing gap faced by small businesses.
In 2019, Adeshina started out first to create an online store front for small business owners. This was during pre-covid when there was little focus on online channels/digital commerce across Africa. By 2020, Adeshina discovered an even wider gap which was the inability for small and medium business owners to leverage to scale outside of their savings echoing his mother’s challenge decades earlier.
