This report was produced by STAE with the support of the UNDP Democracy and Electoral Project, following the completion of a gender diagnostic study aimed at strengthening institutional inclusion, gender sensitivity and the implementation of gender mainstreaming strategies. The study assessed the implementation of gender-related policies, identified institutional gender gaps through sex-disaggregated data, and formulated key recommendations to reinforce existing mechanisms. The assessment also enabled STAE to reflect on its strengths and challenges in advancing gender equality, positioning this report as a practical tool to guide the implementation of gender policies within STAE and other electoral management bodies.
