Silke Hollander, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Montenegro

 

Silke Hollander (Germany) joined UNDP Montenegro as Deputy Resident Representative in June 2025. 

Silke has 20 years of experience in UNDP at country, regional and headquarters levels. Prior to her appointment in Montenegro, she served for four years in the Yemen Country Office as Senior Project Management Specialist on an EU-funded flagship project focused on local governance and local economic development. 

Previously, she served as Deputy Resident Representative in UNDP Ghana (2019–2021) and as Team Leader for Central Africa in the Country Support Team at the UNDP Regional Service Centre for Africa in Addis Ababa (2015–2019). From 2009 to 2014, she worked as Practice Manager with the Knowledge, Innovation and Capacity Group in the UNDP Bureau for Policy and Programme Support in New York. She started her UNDP career in the Malawi Country Office, focusing on public sector management and capacity development for the public sector for over three years. 

Before joining UNDP, Silke worked with a non-governmental organization in South Africa, supporting the reintegration of street children into their communities, and began her professional career as a Human Resources consultant with PwC in Germany. Silke holds a Master’s degree in Business Studies.
