Moldova SDG Investor Map. Summary of findings

November 17, 2025

The SDG Investor Map for Moldova presents a forward-looking overview of investment opportunities that combine economic potential with meaningful development impact. Developed by UNDP’s Sustainable Finance Hub and the UNDP Istanbul Centre for Private Sector Development, in close partnership with the Invest Moldova Agency as the lead national institution, the Map outlines where private capital can most effectively support Moldova’s green transition, digital modernisation, and inclusive economic growth.

The assessment identifies five priority sectors - renewable energy, technology and communications, healthcare, food and agriculture, and tourism - and translates national reform priorities into concrete, investment-ready opportunity areas. These include renewable energy generation, digital agriculture solutions, sustainable agri-processing, medical tourism, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and technology-enabled service platforms.

The findings reflect Moldova’s reform momentum and its alignment with the European integration agenda, providing investors with a clear view of sectoral trends, enabling conditions, and commercially viable entry points. The Map serves as a practical tool for investors seeking opportunities that advance national development objectives while contributing to long-term resilience and competitiveness.

By linking national priorities with private sector capabilities, the SDG Investor Map positions Moldova as an emerging destination for impact-oriented investment and supports the country’s efforts to mobilise finance for sustainable development.
