The electoral screen. Analysis of the representation of men and women candidates in the media during the 2025 parliamentary elections

This study is based on monitoring four types of media products – news bulletins, talk shows, election debates, and advertising spots – broadcast by national television stations. The main objective of the research is to determine the level of presence of female candidates in the television media during the election campaign and to correlate this visibility with their proportion on the candidate lists. 

This product was developed by the Partnership for Development Center with the support of the project "Strengthening Democratic Resilience in Moldova," implemented by UNDP Moldova in partnership with UN Women Moldova and funded by Norway, Canada, Sweden, and Denmark.
