UNDP Moldova has launched a call for applications to select 160 women engaged in household-based income-generating activities who will receive support to develop more climate-resilient and energy-efficient livelihoods. The call is launched under the ”Resilient communities through women empowerment” project, funded by Sweden and Norway.

Selected beneficiaries will receive non-financial support in the form of goods, equipment, works and services required to implement their approved investments, with a value of up to US$6,000 per project. Beneficiaries are expected to provide a minimum co-financing contribution of 5% of the requested support. Through this call, 160 household-level projects will be supported, including at least 20 projects to be implemented on the left bank of the Nistru River.

Eligible investments include:

• installation of solar photovoltaic panels, solar thermal collectors, heat pumps and other renewable energy solutions;
• energy efficiency measures and energy-efficient equipment;
• climate-smart agricultural practices and solutions for soil protection and restoration;
• development of organic crops, orchard management and nurseries;
• agroforestry, livestock farming, beekeeping, aquaculture and eco-tourism;
• post-harvest processing and other environmentally friendly, climate-resilient economic activities.

The call is open to women engaged in household-based income-generating activities who reside in one of the 42 partner communities participating in the ”Resilient communities through women empowerment” project.

Applications may be submitted until 25 August 2026.

Information sessions for potential applicants will be held between 7 and 14 August 2026, according to the following schedule:

• 7 August – Chișinău (Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry) and online;
• 10 August – Drochia and Fălești;
• 11 August – Telenești and Strășeni;
• 12 August – Camenca;
• 13 August – Ursoaia and Anenii Noi;
• 14 August – Manta and Leova.

During these sessions, participants will receive detailed information about the eligibility criteria, application requirements, and the process for completing and submitting their application packages.
