Gendered Voices - Women Leaders Advancing the SDGs in Mauritius

March 5, 2026

This edition of the UNDP Mauritius and Seychelles Multi-Country Office Gendered Voices Newsletter celebrates four Mauritian women driving transformative change through their leadership in environmental protection, health and reproductive rights, advocacy and community-based development.

Their work demonstrates how women are essential architects of progress—shaping policies, improving lives, and fostering sustainable and inclusive societies. This International Women’s Day 2026, under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL women and girls” is an opportunity to celebrate their leadership, reaffirm our commitment to gender equality, and accelerate progress across the entire 2030 Agenda.

This edition also stands as a reminder that investing in women’s empowerment, protection, and participation is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic pathway to sustainable development that benefits everyone.
