Leveraging Mauritius Post Ltd as a Regional Parcel Delivery Catalyst

About the Hackathon

Mauritius has the potential to play a leading role in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), particularly in logistics and digital trade. To unlock this opportunity, UNDP Mauritius & Seychelles, in collaboration with the Mauritius Digital Promotion Agency (MDPA) and the Ministry of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation (MITCI), is launching the Mauritius Digital Gateway to AfCFTA Hackathon 2026.

This initiative invites university students to develop open-source digital solutions that strengthen Mauritius Post Ltd as a smart parcel-delivery hub for intra-African trade.

Hackathon Objectives

Participants will design and prototype solutions that can:

  • Improve cross-border logistics efficiency

  • Enhance parcel traceability and last-mile delivery

  • Support digital customs integration

  • Facilitate e-commerce and SME participation in AfCFTA
