Malawi has unveiled a new digital platform to strengthen the management of public sector reforms, with the First Vice President, Right Honourable Dr. Jane Ansah, Sc, Ja (Rtd), gracing the launch of the Public Sector Reforms Information Management System (PSRIMS) during a ceremony held on 11 December 2025 in Lilongwe. The event marked an important step toward modernizing how Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) plan, coordinate, and report on reforms.

Developed by the Public Sector Reforms Management Department with technical leadership from the Department of E-Government, and UNIPOD at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) PSRIMS replaces fragmented manual processes with a unified digital system. The platform centralizes reforms data, enables real-time reporting, and strengthens transparency and accountability across government.

In her remarks, the First Vice President described the platform as a transformative development for Malawi’s public sector, noting that it equips institutions with better tools to deliver results and gives citizens clearer insight into the progress of national reforms.

PSRIMS includes modules for reform formulation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, along with interactive dashboards, automated notifications, and secure access levels for different users. The system also guides MDAs in designing reforms that align with MW2063, ensuring stronger strategic focus and improved service delivery.
