Promoting women’s empowerment is a key issue that UNDP Malawi continues to advance in all its work, in close cooperation with other UN Agencies, including UN women.

UNDP Malawi also prioritizes gender issues within the workplace in all levels and functions including programming and organizational development, communication; to ensure a working environment that is conducive and sensitive to the needs of both women and men.

UNDP Malawi has an active Gender Focal Team that coordinates gender mainstreaming in all its programming, organizational development and communications to ensure gender equality and women’s empowerment within the workplace.
