This guidebook provides refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) students and servicing technicians in Lebanon with a practical reference on refrigerant safety, technical properties and good servicing practices. It covers common refrigerants and their safety classifications, the safe handling and storage of flammable refrigerants, servicing procedures, appropriate tools and equipment, and key dos and don’ts. The guidebook also includes pressure-temperature charts, a glossary and other technical references to support safer and more environmentally responsible RAC servicing practices.

Prepared by the National Ozone Unit of Lebanon, UNDP, with the Ministry of Environment as part of the HPMP Stage-II project, the guidebook aims to support RAC technicians and vocational school students in Lebanon.
