On behalf of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ibero-American Alliance Business Council (CEAPI), we are pleased to invite you to EU-LAC Talk II: “Powering Competitiveness: Investing in Resilient Growth” a high-level dialogue taking place on the occasion of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Latin America and the Caribbean has enormous potential in renewable energy, critical minerals, and the development of sustainable industries and infrastructure. Against a global backdrop of new challenges related to energy security and competitiveness, the event will explore how to translate this potential into concrete investment and development opportunities, while strengthening the institutional frameworks and partnerships needed to advance a just and resilient energy transition for all.
The event, to be held at United Nations Headquarters in New York, will bring together senior government officials, development finance institutions, business leaders, and representatives of international organizations to foster dialogue between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean on practical solutions to scale up investment, reduce risk, and strengthen public-private cooperation in strategic sectors for the energy transition.
