Climate change public awareness survey 2025

Climate change public awareness survey 2025

September 11, 2025

As part of the project “Integrating climate change adaptation into Kazakhstan’s strategic planning”, a sociological survey was conducted to assess public awareness of climate change, its impacts, and adaptation measures.

More than 3,500 residents from across Kazakhstan took part in the study. The results revealed key environmental concerns among citizens, as well as their perceptions of the climate situation at the national, regional, and global levels.

These findings are valuable for decision-makers working on climate change management and policy development, as well as for representatives of NGOs, media, and other interested stakeholders. They offer important insights to help shape more effective and people-centered climate adaptation strategies.
