The project will develop methodological packages on environmental culture for pre-school education institutions, thematic games and interactive videos for the “Understanding the World” subject for elementary school students, etc. The project will also seek to create a comprehensive model of continuous environmental education for sustainable development, which will become an integral part of the state educational system.

“The primary goal of the project is to nurture a responsible attitude to the environment in the society, encourage rational use of natural resources for the sustainable development by creating a legal framework for inclusion of the climate education into the educational system of Kazakhstan,” stated Yakup Beris, UNDP Resident Representative in Kazakhstan.
