Addressing social vulnerabilities and inequalities

Kazakhstan Government’s increased focus on social protection and addressing vulnerabilities, particularly for the most marginalized, is being supported by UNDP through the creation of new initiatives. UNDP aims to develop and scale up innovative social protection platforms, enhance service provider capabilities, and implement digital solutions for targeted service delivery, particularly for people with disabilities, the elderly, and large families.

The organization also intends to test digitalization for emergency situations to ensure continuous aid for vulnerable groups. Efforts to aid vulnerable populations contribute to the development of national social support systems, improve the efficiency of healthcare procurement, and enhance the resilience of health services.

Additionally, UNDP is prioritizing youth, expanding initiatives to prevent violent extremism and terrorism, enhancing community resilience, and promoting employability and sustainable development awareness through social and green entrepreneurship activities.
