Consultations to feed into the Voluntary National Review (VNR) that Guinea-Bissau is due to submit in July 2022 are ongoing. In close collaboration with the government and stakeholders, UNDP Guinea-Bissau is working to prepare a report which is expected to show what steps the country has taken to implement the 2030 Agenda, including the goals and targets, and provide an assessment of the results on the ground.

In this context, UNDP Guinea-Bissau has organized a workshop that took place on 10 and 11 March and was based on four main pillars:

🕊️ Reporting by the 4 thematic groups on their analysis of the implementation of the SDGs.
🗺 Presentation of the SDGs, targets, and indicators in the context of Guinea-Bissau's implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
✊ Exploring the most effective ways to mobilize civil society and the private sector as well as other key partners in the formulation of an inclusive NRV.
💾 Continue to collect additional data and information and analysis from stakeholders to enrich the work of the thematic groups and the consultancy team.

The VNR is a multi-stakeholder engagement including, besides the national and local authorities, the United Nations Development System, Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, and the private sector.
