UNDP in Guinea-Bissau, together with the MAVA Foundation and the Impact Hub "Guinea-Bissau Empreende" has launched a tailor-made program for young people who are dedicated to change to support the development of an impact entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country. Since its introduction in Bissau in December 2020, the Guinea-Bissau Empreende program, an initiative developed under the Leadership Academy, a UNDP flagship initiative that aims to identify and create change agents through the delivery of tailored trainings, will organize online training sessions based at National School of Administration, contributing to building the necessary ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in the country. After the launching of applications last February, 34 entrepreneurs have been pre-selected for the first phase of distance training, which will take place on March 16, 17, 25, and 26. The following topics will be covered: Introduction to the Impact Hub and the Concept of Social Entrepreneurship; Building Communities: How to develop and manage entrepreneurial communities; Business Model of Social Entrepreneur Support Centers; and Ecosystem Mapping and Market Study.
