The Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) will convene a High-Level Dialogue on the margins of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, bringing ministers and development leaders together online to shape the future of development co-operation in the run-up to 2030.
Building on the renewed commitment to effectiveness in the Seville Outcome Document of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, as well as on the 2025 Busan Global Partnership Forum and country-led Action Dialogues, the event will launch the Making Development Co-operation More Effective Progress Report 2026, which draws on new monitoring data from 44 countries to turn evidence into concrete action and stronger accountability.
Participants will also look at how the GPEDC, as an inclusive multi-stakeholder platform, can help bring coherence to an increasingly fragmented aid architecture, and will set out a path linking the Dialogue's outcomes to upcoming milestones such as the 2027 Development Cooperation Forum and the FfD Forum. Interpretation will be available in French and Spanish.
