It highlights how climate change impacts can undermine social cohesion and heighten socio-economic instability. By combining a climate risk scan with a fragility scan, the brief shows where countries and territories are most exposed for climate related security risks.

It calls for stronger integration of climate, peace, and security into future climate strategies—urging stakeholders to undertake climate related security risk assessments and align climate action with measures that reinforce social cohesion, protect livelihoods, and ensure lasting stability.
