The Good Growth Conference is an immersive learning experience which brings policymakers, producers, local communities, companies, development practitioners and conservationists to the frontiers of agriculture and deforestation, in some of the world’s most important ecosystems and landscapes. This one of a kind gathering aims to inspire new understandings and foster meaningful global connections while equipping delegates with the network and tools needed to influence the way we produce, finance and demand our food.

Enabled by the Global Environment Facility, the Good Growth Conference is convened by the United Nations Development Programme in collaboration with WWF, Conservation International, UN Environment and the International Finance Corporation.

The Good Growth Conference builds on the annual gathering established in 2014 by the UNDP’s Green Commodities Community. Thanks to the support and collective convening power of the Good Growth Partnership, the UNDP has been able to enhance its conference offering and reach for 2019.

What to expect from the Conference?

During the high-level Lima session on Monday 13^th, delegates will have the chance to influence and contribute to dialogue geared toward accelerating action. It will be an opportunity to exchange honest perspectives and a chance for regional governments to reignite their commitments for the Amazon.

At the Good Growth Conference, we know that seeing is believing. For the rest of the week delegates will journey to the Amazon where they will be touched by both pristine nature and forest, confronted by its destruction, and connected with the lives of people and animals who rely on the forest in their daily lives. This immersive experience supports people to go deeper in their understanding, develop more intimate relationships, and connect with their energy and compassion. This combination is a catalyst for transformation and can change the views and mind-sets of decision makers and practitioners globally.
