Bangladesh is committed to achieving a sustainable development pathway that delivers broad based economic growth while also contributing to the global fight against climate change. As part of
this approach, and with support from the UN-REDD Programme 1 Bangladesh has been working, since 2010, to build capacity for and develop a comprehensive approach to reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from the country’s forests as well as increasing their capacity for GHG absorption.
