We cannot turn back time. But we can grow trees, green our cities, rewild our gardens, change our diets and clean up rivers and coasts. This is our moment. We are the generation that can make peace with nature.
On this year’s World Environment Day, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme have teamed up to launch a drawing contest on the topic "#GenerationRestoration".
The contest is open to all children aged 7-12 who are currently residing in Azerbaijan and are keen to make their own artistic contribution to help raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
