This policy paper is part of an effort of UNDP Asia Trade Initiative (ATI) to learn more, for awareness and policy purposes, about the likely trade trends and development impact after the termination for the WTO Agreement on Textiles and Clothing (ATC) on 31 December 2004.

The paper is a synthesis of a diverse range of analysis presented in recent studies, assessments and projections from credible sources, both in-house and external, on the likely impact of changing trade flows in textiles and clothing on development outcomes of different sub-groups of countries within Asia and elsewhere.
