Democratic Governance
The Democratic Governance Area is one of the programme areas of the UNDP in Argentina Office. It contributes to strengthening the institutions of the different branches and levels of government across the country.
Through collaborative work, it promotes democratic principles, enforcement of rights, and human development for everyone.
It also provides technical assistance for the implementation of international standards contained in United Nations Conventions, to which Argentina is a party.
The Area’s initiatives foster institutional innovation, and support the analysis and evaluation of public policy implementation.
Over the past six decades, UNDP has built strategic partnerships in more than 170 countries and territories, helping to better understand the complexity of governance challenges and the long-term approach they require. In this sense, UNDP Argentina is part of a global platform that facilitates the exchange of experiences and lessons learned worldwide.
