HEALTHY LIVES, RESILIENT SYSTEMS: UNDP and the Global Fund in Africa

Since 2003, UNDP has partnered with the Global Fund, national governments, civil society and communities to end HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria and build resilient and sustainable systems for health, including in countries facing crisis, conflict and capacity constraints.
Key Results:
- 1.5 MILLION people received HIV treatment
- 44,000 people were treated for TB
- 13.1 MILLION mosquito nets were distributed to prevent malaria.
Countries supported are: Angola, Burundi, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Guinea-Bissau, Zimbabwe, São Tomé and Príncipe, Mozambique, and South Sudan.
