Intermediary African cities at the frontiers of risks and change need our immediate attention.

UNDP and UN-Habitat’s Joint Regional Programme (JRP) on Smart Urban Resilience enables intermediary cities to build innovative urban resilience systems to enhance their prevention, mitigation and adaptation capacity to address socio-economic, environmental, conflict and climate-related shocks and stresses. The JRP leverages green growth opportunities, including digital transformation and people-centered smart innovations, to reach the most vulnerable populations.
