Daniela Gasparikova
UNDP Resident Representative to the Republic of Moldova
Ms. Daniela Gasparikova (Slovakia) serves as UNDP Resident Representative to the Republic of Moldova since May 2023.
In her role, Ms. Gasparikova is the UNDP Administrator's representative at the country level, and head of the country office, being ultimately responsible for the quality and sustainability of UNDP interventions, including corporate policies and procedures.
Daniela has 20 years of experience working for UNDP both in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. Prior to this appointment, Daniela served as the UNDP Resident Representative in Montenegro (2019-2023) and the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Mongolia (2016-2019).
She also served as the RBM, Monitoring and Evaluation Team Leader in UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub (2011-2016) and led the UNDP Country Programs’ implementation in five Central European Countries out of the UNDP Regional Centre in Bratislava, Slovakia (2005-2010).
In all leadership positions she has avidly advocated for and pursued gender equality and women empowerment, climate change mitigation/adaptation, human capital development and digitalisation as central to the UNDP’s work.
Daniela started her development professional career as a Program Officer for Social Inclusion with UNDP Regional Centre in Bratislava, Slovakia.
She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Master’s degree in Pedagogy of Modern Linguistics, both from Comenius University in Slovakia.
She speaks English, French, Russian, and Montenegrin/Serbian.

Seher Ariner
UNDP Deputy Resident Representative to the Republic of Moldova
Ms. Seher Ariner (Türkiye) serves as UNDP Deputy Resident Representative to the Republic of Moldova since July 2024.
In her role, Ms. Ariner steers strategic planning, programme formulation and partnership engagement in UNDP.
Seher is a development professional with over 17 years of dedicated service at UNDP Türkiye. Her extensive career, which began in 2006, has seen her take on various advisory, support, and managerial roles at both project and portfolio levels. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Resident Representative to the Republic of Moldova, she served as the Assistant Resident Representative at UNDP Türkiye for seven years. In this role, she oversaw complex humanitarian and development programs in a rapidly changing socio-economic and political landscape. Seher has extensive experience navigating and managing challenging environments effectively, including during the protracted Syrian refugee crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye in 2023. She has led UNDP Türkiye’s efforts in areas such as public and private sector partnerships, governance, gender equality, and integrating SDGs into various aspects of development, including policy, innovation, data analysis, and financing.
As a development practitioner who began her career at the field level, Seher has accumulated a wealth of experience in various capacities, mainly in management, partnership building, financing, and resource mobilization. Her expertise also extends to programme and policy design, programme implementation and advocacy as well as quality assurance and financial management. Seher has engaged extensively with international community representatives, including UN entities, bilateral and multilateral donors, international financial institutions, and national partners in government and non-governmental organizations. She is an active contributor to the integrated work of the UN on human rights, resilience, and SDGs.
Seher graduated from Bilkent University with a degree in Political Science and Public Administration and holds an MA in European Integration from Middle East Technical University, focusing on judicial and political ethics.
Seher is fluent in English.
