UNDP’s Giving Facility for Flood Relief and Livelihoods Support

December 9, 2025

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sri Lanka has established a Giving Facility to raise funds for flood relief and livelihoods in Sri Lanka to alleviate the negative impacts of Cyclone Ditwah.

This note outlines how organizations can partner with UNDP to deliver immediate livelihoods relief, enable early recovery, and build resilience for long-term recovery, aligning with the Government’s coordination mechanisms and UN system response. It provides ready-to-fund packages, governance, safeguards, reporting, and visibility options.
