This policy brief provides strategies for greening the financial system of Pakistan, and outlines ways to meet Pakistan’s National Determined Contributions (NDC) under the Paris Agreement. The brief also highlights options for tapping blended climate financing facilities from international sources, including Multilateral Climate Funds (GCF, GEF, CIF etc.), MDBs, and bilateral climate finance for mitigation and adaptation projects in Pakistan. Moreover, this brief provides policy measures by different stakeholders including ministries, commercial banks, and regulators for a transition to a green financial system.
